兒子賽車撞欄起火 父親違規入場救子遭處分
美國改裝房車系列賽（NASCAR）選手麥可‧瓊斯（Mike Jones）日前比賽時車輛失控打滑衝撞護欄起火，他的父親奮不顧身違規進場救子脫困，如今遭到「察看」處分。
美國父親節週末期間，麥可‧瓊斯16日在維吉尼亞州南波士頓（South Boston）南波士頓賽車場（South Boston Speedway）參賽，結果他所駕駛的39號賽車突然失控打滑，撞上場中護欄之後，車頭冒出熊熊大火。
麥可‧瓊斯的父親狄恩‧瓊斯（Dean Jones）原本在場中央區觀看比賽，見到兒子受困於起火車輛中，立即跳過水泥護欄，衝進賽車場內把兒子從駕駛座窗戶拉出，場邊觀眾則對這段過程報以掌聲。麥可‧瓊斯脫困離開車輛的數秒鐘之後，消防人員才趕到現場。
這段父親英勇救子的影片，透過媒體報導之後，引起網路瘋傳。
回憶這起意外，麥可‧瓊斯事後接受媒體訪問時說：「這是賽車手最恐怖的惡夢。」麥可‧瓊斯的賽車雖然撞毀，但他並未受傷。
南波士頓賽車場21日發表聲明宣布，在兒子賽車團隊擔任維修隊長的狄恩‧瓊斯自行跳進賽車場，明顯違反賽車場場地使用規範，今年之內都將受到「察看」（probation）處分。
聲明中表示，狄恩‧瓊斯不會面臨罰款，也不會被勒令停賽，但在今年年底之前，都將受到察看處分。
南波士頓賽車場指出，針對這起事件已經與狄恩‧瓊斯面對面討論，「他完全理解我們的立場，也就是比賽過程中非安全人員嚴禁進入賽車場。幸好這次事件無人受傷，對此我們深表感激，期待選手恢復比賽。」
